Matariki Story

We have been doing some cool work in class and It is about Matariki the seven sisters in the night sky It comes out In early may and going down in late June. Mrs Hall has told us to do some work around this so this is what she has sent to the whole class and we had to read it so If you want you can read it. It is so cool that we are allowed a public holiday and we all get a day of school and work and have some family time. I hope you like what I have written.

Cool things in class

We have been doing some cool learning in class with Mrs Mill It is weaving and we are doing it with wool. If you would like to make it then this is what you need...

• sliver sting 
• Black cardboard 
• any kind of wool 
• scissors
• pencil
• ruler  

Step 1: You Need to get your ruler and your black cardboard and rule 1 cm on the bottom of the card and the top of the card. 

Step 2: you need your scissors and you need to cut the lines to have just ruled. 

Step 3: you need to get your sliver sting and go from bottom to top bottom to top till you Think It looks good.

Step 4:   get your wool and then you can start weaving and you can make whatever pattern you like and when you are finished it can be a cool piece of artwork.

Uncle Jason's Birthday Dinner

Uncle Jason's Birthday Dinner

In the weekend it was my Uncle Jason's birthday. We went to the Rivers and we had a celebration for Uncle Jason's birthday. He was turning forty. He had about 35 people come to the Rivers.  After we had dinner, everybody came back to our house to watch the rugby. Then we did the cake and I was handing it out and cutting it up into little pieces. Uncle Jason got the biggest piece of all. Then we opened the presents and I got Uncle Jason for some coffee and a nice t-shirt. Mum said that I was the spot on the child of the day out of about 15 of us children. I have a little cousin who is 3 years old, I have never met before and at the end of the night Leila and I were best friends. The last person left our house at about 12:30am and then all of us went to bed. Dad and Uncle Jason got up really early to watch the cricket.  After having such a late night, you need to get a good sleep or you will be really tired the next day and you will not be happy.

Cousins over

In the weekends My cousin came over to My house and we were playing tag and I was having too much Fun. The next day we went to the shop and we go some lollies and we ate them all in one day Overall we had so much fun I loved having Taina over.  I hope you like what I have written for you guys tonight. I am glad that she did come over in the weekends.

The Story of The survivor

In class, we have been reading a story called ( The Survivor ). We had to make a play to it and I am The Mum. In my group is Lacie, Jessica, Levi, Amber, Declan, Vincent. The characters are Mother, Father, child 1, child 2, Newsreader 1, Newsreader 2, and last but not least Research Specialist. I am the mother. We have already read the story through and we have to answer all of these questions. I think I got all of my questions right.

Poor Huia Birds

In class we have been doing some cool things around this little project up the top. We have been wondering what it is?  We had to make a movie too, about this man and he is cleaning out his house because his Grandmother has just past away.  He is cleaning all of her stuff and he found a box and this was in it with a whole lot of docs of paper and letters to people that the man did not know.  We are trying to figure what it is. Hilda is the grandmothers name and one day she went for a walk and she saw people killing huia birds.  She walked over there and she said "Why are you killing these huia birds?" and the Hunter said "You are supporting us because you are wearing a huia beak on your top". Hilda ran away crying and she got it from a present from her husband.  She went to him and she said "Why did you buy this for me? You are killing the nature!".  Hilda never ever wore it again she was so disappointed. 

Did the film communicate the script?

A little bit, it would have been better if we did not do a script.

Did it communicate the rising emotion being portrayed?

Yes, we did because it is one of the biggest things in the whole story.

What could you shoot differently? Probably could have done one or two more practices.

What would make your film more understandable? It probably could do with some more information because it was a little difficult with communicating to keep following the scenes.

What would give your film more emotional impact? We could have acted better because we did not give enough emotion and expression. But we still did good.

Mine and Declans

This Is what we have Been working on In class and My partner Was Declan and We were working On How snakeskin Was Made out Of shoe and It was Mine and His Understanding about This Project. We both Did A lot of work Towards this and It was Very Fun. I love doing Stuff like this Is class With Different people each Time we Partner up Together.
